Year 8 learn CPR for Restart a Heart Day

All 140 students in Year 8 learnt vital life-saving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills as part of Restart a Heart Day 2017.

Led by trainer Simon from North Bristol NHS Trust they used lifelike mannequins to learn techniques that might save a life one day. If someone suffers a cardiac arrest, their chances of survival double if it happens in front of a bystander who immediately starts CPR before emergency services arrive.

Restart a Heart Day is a designated yearly day of action across Europe with the aim to teach vital life-saving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills to as many people as possible.
