St Katherine’s tea party raises over £400 for Macmillan Cancer Care

St Katherine’s School hosted a contender for North Somerset’s biggest Macmillan Coffee Morning on 28 September 2018.

All 850 pupils and St Katherine’s staff were invited to a tea party on the school field.  They brought their appetites with them, devouring over 900 delicious cakes and cookies baked by St Katherine’s sixth formers in less than fifteen minutes!

The event raised over £400 for Macmillan Cancer Care and with collection boxes still dotted around the school the final total will be even higher.

Justin Humphreys, Katherine’s School Headteacher said,

“It was fantastic to see so many pupils of all ages enjoying the treats prepared by our sixth form.  Community is at the heart of St Katherine’s School and as a school community we are always keen to give back to the community around us.  Everyone at St Katherine’s is proud to support Macmillan Cancer Care and we wish them the best of luck in their fundraising efforts for such an important cause.”
