World Book Day and Waterstones Book Fair
Students and staff are looking forward to celebrating all things bookish on World Book Day, which is taking place on Thursday 5th March. They have been invited to dress as a book character for the day if they wish (students will need their tutor's permission, and no onesies please!)
There will be lots of events going on during the day, including a book brunch in the morning, a competition for everyone to take part in, an extra surprise for Year 7 and of course the wonderful book fair to look forward to next week.
As part of our World Book Day celebrations, we will be welcoming Waterstones into school to run our book fair on Tuesday 10th and Wednesday 11th March. They will be bringing with them a fantastic range of some of the very best writing for children and young people, as well as some of the titles specially produced for World Book Day. Every student visiting the book fair will receive a voucher either to swap for one of the special titles, or to take £1 off the cost of any other book, which will be discounted.
There will be lots of book chat as well throughout the events - something everyone can join in!
