Record-breaking results for St Katherine's sixth form

Sixth form students at St Katherine’s School are celebrating a record-breaking set of exam results.   The number of students achieving A*-B grades at A level jumped to 49%, an all-time high, with 78% of students achieving A*-C grades, another school record.  The overall pass rate was 98%.

Coupled with students achieving Distinction grade or above in vocational subjects, 57% achieved A*-B grades or equivalent with four in every five grades awarded to students at Distinction* or Distinction.   St Katherine’s continues to deliver excellent outcomes across academic, vocational and apprenticeship pathways for all students.

These excellent results enable our Year 13 students to move on to their chosen pathway with the majority of students securing first choice university destination, including Russell Group universities. A number of students have successfully secured higher level apprenticeships, starting their careers immediately with a number of employers across the South West including Network Rail and North Somerset Council.

Yusuf Ibrahim, Head of Sixth Form at St Katherine’s said:

“We are extremely proud of all our students who have worked incredibly hard and achieved record-breaking results. There have been many exceptional performances which are testament to the dedication and perseverance shown by our students, as well as teachers and parents.  These results have opened doors for our Year 13’s and they now successfully move onto university, apprenticeships and employment.”

Justin Humphreys, Head of School, added:

“These excellent results reflect the hard work and determination of students and their teachers and I would like to congratulate them all.   I am delighted to see that students have performed exceptionally well across academic and vocational subjects and are being rewarded for their commitment and dedication over the past two years.  As Year 13 leave our school community, we wish them all the very best for successful futures in their chosen pathway.
