Expedition to Eryri National Park

Four participants in the Gold D of E Award completed their expedition in Eryri National Park (Snowdonia). Starting on the outskirts of Bala, the team trekked over a wide range of wild terrain, following dramatic ridge lines above huge valleys before summiting Cader Idris. The team finished in Barmouth, walking across the stunning railway bridge, just as the rain and wind from Storm Amy was building. For the participants, completing this led them one step closer to finishing their award, the end of months of volunteering, physical work and other activities. Well done to the team and thank you to Matt from Young Bristol for helping keep them safe!
