Year 9 break records at Folly Farm
In April Year 9 students visited Folly Farm. The purpose of this visit was to complete a GCSE required practical activity on sampling using quadrats and transects in different ecosystems from those available on the school site.
A special mention to Ryan Sleigh who caught an adult Great Crested Newt - these are a rare species and hadn’t been seen at Folly Farm for seven years and Louis Bulmer who caught a conical spider which hadn’t been seen at Folly Farm in the last 20 years.
All students engaged really well with the activities and showed exemplary respect and resilience, well done!
